About Symbiose Summer Art Festival:
When six months ago the idea of SYMBIOSE rose, there was nothing. Well … almost nothing. De StadsGalerij was there and the confidence of its gallery owner Lilian Joosen, who gave me carte blanche. And now there is an impressive and varied selection of art: abstract, documentary, (sur)realistic … Paintings, drawings, collages, mixed media, video, photography and other graphic techniques, woven tapestries, sculptures and installations. By artists of all ages and from all parts of the world: from Brazil to Japan, the United Arab Emirates to New Zealand, from Morocco to the United States and Canada. And also from Belgium and the Netherlands. Apart from this visual spectacle SYMBIOSE provides a platform for writers and poets, and there is room for music and debate.
